Butterfly Farm
Located at Teluk Bahang, the Penang Butterfly Farm is home and sanctuary to a wide variety of beautiful butterflies and some insects. Opened in year 1986, it is one of the first butterfly house in Tropical region.
The Butterfly farm have brightly colored butterflies in all sizes and stages of development flutter beneath the translucent roof; frogs, scorpions and spiders are also a part of this manmade "natural" habitat.
Photographs may be taken for an additional charge and a large selection of souvenirs are on sale. Butterfly Farm doesn't only serve commercial purposes: zoologists breed endangered insects here and later release them in the wild.
